Gigabyte h97 m d3h overclocking

Hi I'm currently using Asus h81 MD it can over clock without any problem. But i need to buy a mobo gigabyte h97m d3h ,can it over clock without any bios issues ? No, you cannot overclock using h- series motherboards, let it be any generation... ONly skylake had that advantage but intel disallowed with micro code update...

So I only have to buy Asus board ,I mainly need 2 pcie 2.0 x16 , Asus h 81m v3 has it but it supports only 16gb ram ,so I decided to by ga h97 d3h .other z series boards are too expensive

The GA-Z97 is just 2k more... But i would advise you against Gigabyte boards... Personal experience with 2 Gigabyte boards and since here on Tomshardware, every other person with Gigabyte boards have a problem. And as you are from India, dont expect any warranty service whatsoever, they only accept warranty when your mobo is dead.

And H97 boards dont support SLI.... Only Z-series boards do...

If you are into gaming, anything above 16GB is just overkill...
