Gigabyte HD 7870 Help

I'm a 2 day old PC gamer, Just got into it and built my custom PC.
I'm trying to run Crysis 3 on Very High/High Settings. But im only able to get 30fps +/-

I see reviews saying they get 60+ fps without fraps. I bench marked both my CPU and GPU with prime95/Furmark. I dont know how to tweak my FPS so it runs smoother.

I turn off AA too

Any tips?

Heres my specs:

Intel i5 3470 @ Turbo 3.6 ghz
Gigabyte HD 7870 @1100ghz gpu 1200 ghz memory
Corsair CX600
Intel® H77 Chipset Based H77MA-G43
8gb Corsair Vengence in slots 2/4 [1/3] empty]

My drivers are up to date, to my knowledge.
I have Catalyst Control 12.X.X. I noticed there's a 13.0.1 Beta, will there be a performance increase?

That gpu will not get 60 fps on very high on crysis 3 at 1920x1080. You'd need a titan for that. You should be using 13.1, that is the newest certified driver.

Even with aa off. From what I have seen the game is very difficult to run. You can OC the gpu, but don't expect more than ~5-10 fps improvement.

okie dokie! im updating to 13.1 right now, changelog looks promising

So, with everything stock settings, there's nothing I can do to improve performance?

Turn down settings or OC. Nothing else you can do. Your cpu won't hold you back so nothing to worry about there.

After Catalyst Updated, Mutliplayer I end up with 60 fps steady on high. Boosted a lot! but the campaign, which im guessing is more cpu intensive, still stays around 35 fps=/

Also have to remember that most reviews also have the Audio turned off since that can affect preformance.

Crysis 3 is hardware killer even TITAN card can't run with high FPS at highest setting
also, I think your CPU is a bottleneck as well...
