"Gigabyte is reportedly hiking pricing of its RDNA 2-based graphics cards by up to 6% according to a report from BoardChannels (via VideoCardz). Other makers of graphics boards will likely follow Gigabyte's lead and increase prices, which is bad news for gamers. "

-->Yeah, well fcuk you Gigabyte, and anyone else that follows suit. Do understand that we won't forget!

"Gigabyte follows AMD, passes increased GPU costs on to the end-user. "

Yes, that's how capitalism works XD

And when they're operating like mafia/cartels, then those prices don't drop as soon as they can, obviously.

Regards.

When there is a reason to increase prices, all companies will choose to do it to maximise or maintain their own margins. So this is not unexpected, and surely others may have already done it quietly, or will follow eventually. I feel the big 3, namely, Asus, MSI and Gigabyte, are not shy to bump prices up sharply. You can observe this with the launch of the RX 6900/ 6800 series at the start where the likes of Powercolor, Sapphire and XFX cards are quite a bit cheaper.
