Gigabyte Motherboard compatibility to Nvidia Video Card

Is Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 GDDR compatible with my Gigabyte GA-F2A55M-DS2?

All graphics cards are compatible with all motherboards (well mostly anyway).

But the CPU you use on those motherboards will bottleneck the gtx970's performance.

so you're saying i should get a new motherboard too? If i do, what kind motherboard should i get or what could be the fastest video card can i purchase that this motherboard of mine can still support and does not bottleneck its performance?

If you want to use a CPU that won't bottleneck a gtx970, look at one from tier one of http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-cpu-review-overclock,3106-5.html.

Then get a compatible motherboard.
