Hey geeks at Tom's Hardware forum..

I've got a Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H motherboard with Dual Channel RAM slots, since 2013 I have assembled the PC with 2 Kingston HyperX Blue 8GB RAM just to realise recently that I'm only using 8GB in total instead of 16GB 🤓

When I install only one stick at a time the MoBo reads only 4GB instead of 8GB. The RAM slots are 2 white and 2 blue, any advise mates?

Thanks.

Thanks. As a matter of interest, run an instance of CPU-z and click the memory tab and report back.

Its possible it's a glitch. Have you recently updated your BIOS? When was the last time you did a fresh install of your OS. Check CPU-z first and try the varying combos of slots populated whilst noting if CPU-z is displaying the correct info.
