This is the strangest problem I've seen on hardware
I bought the AB350M-DS3H V2 and whenever I tried to install the processor video driver, it would restart the PC in a loop that wouldn't stop unless I manually made a restore point or formatted it the HDD. When I tried to update the BIOS, it got into this reboot loop and I couldn't go back. Even tried to go back to the BIOS version it came in (F31). Because the mobo was not handling any updates well and this one was intrinsic to it, it was irreversible. The only time I even got it working for a bit was when I installed a GPU (GTX 1060 G1 Gaming). I updated the driver while the card was installed, trying to circumvent the problem, then took off the GPU and tested a game (Half-Life 2). The FPS was extremely low, 5-10. Because in addition to the mobo going crazy with any update, it wasn't '' activating '' them. Because an APU needs a driver to be active (beyond basic, such as video input). Without a driver, it gets 0% usage in a game, and that's how it was. Anyway, the pc came back to restart a day after I took out the video card.
I activated the warranty and made the exchange. The new mobo came up with the same problem. I assembled the PC again and at the time to turn on the mobo was restarting. Formatted. It stopped. This time, I tried to take it easy and install the chipset first. They say it needs to be installed before some BIOS and driver versions, so that's what I did. But I don't believe installing in the wrong order would cause that. And that was not so. The chipset installer had an install bar loading and went straight to reboot. Nothing came up for me to do. After that, the PC is restarting again. The new motherboard is slightly different from the previous one. It came with BIOS F41.
I tested RAM and CPU on another motherboard (GB A320MA-M.2) and had no problems. I could install everything. Oh, and testing Half-Life 2 on this motherboard with this single-channel RAM comb, the game ran at 180 frames per second.
What is happening? Did I win the lottery and got two models in a row with the same problem? Or are there any RAM / CPU compatibility issues for this model? But there is no hint of it on the internet. And with such a compatibility problem, they would have already collected the models back. Also, the store from where I bought it tested it and confirmed a defect and they had a different setup.
Setup is the motherboard referred to before, Ryzen 3 2200G, KIngston HyperX RAM 1 stick 8GB HX424C15FB2/8, CORSAIR VX550W (old PSU, but high quality and working properly), and a HDD 1TB Barracuda.
