I installed a Gigabyte AORUS Z370 Gaming 3 mobo 7 years ago and would like to upgrade to a medium performance version. Any advice would be appreciated.

To upgrade just MB ? Why ? It's performance depends mostly on the CPU and all with that same CPU will have same performance.

If there is a problem, yes, change it, if not, it is not necessary, it is better to upgrade your processor, graphics card or add memory to your system
