Hello,

I have this card (GIGABYTE N56GOC-1GI), which is slightly overclocked GTX560 and I read, that in 2D mode it should drop its frequency to 50 Mhz in order to preserve power consumption and lower temp.

But on my PC it is still on nominal frequency - 830 MHz and when I work in Windows, it never drops to that 50 Mhz. Is it something wrong with my new graphic card?

I also have problem with Gigabyte EasyBoost, which does not detect my graphic card and I can use this SW. Mayby new drivers (285.62) issue?

My spec:

Intel Core Quad Q9550
Windows 7 64 bit (Aero on)
Nvidia drivers: 285.62

Thanks for help!

Already found it and it is set to "adaptive". So that is not the problem.

Does it mean, that the power consumption is a lot higher than it would go to 50 Mhz in idle?

So I figured it out. It was caused by my multimonitor setting (I have 2 LCD's). When both are active, card is still on 830 MHz. When I disabled one, it dropped to 50 Mhz.

Is there some solution to keep it dropping to 50 Mhz even when both LCD are active?

How much higher is power consumption when it is in idle state but on 830 Mhz?
