Question Gigabyte PC won't boot.

When I switched the machine on all I get is a flashing DVD drive light. The PC does post, but no BIOS. The Keyboard is dead (Caps Lock does not comes on). I disconnected everything I could (HDD, DVD drive, RAM, took out the battery) etc. No response on display, black screen of death. If it is corrupt BIOS the machine should recover it from HDD (it did it the previous day). The PC is dead, to my mind I should write it off. Any suggestions?

The PC is a Gigabyte model GA-G31MX-S2 with 2 GB Ram, 250 GB Sata HDD, DVD drive, Dual CPU, NVDIA Graphics Card

OK, so the GA-G31MX-S2 is the motherboard, so we know that. Can you be specific with the rest?
