This is my first time using this Motherboard and the Gigabyte PerfDrive has 4 options:
Intel Default settings - Baseline
Intel Default settings - Performance
Intel Default settings - Extreme
GBT Default
My setup is
ASUS Prime OC Geforce RTX 5070 12GB
Intel Core Ultra 285K Tetracosa-core 24 core 3.7 GHz
MSI MAG A750GL 750 watt power supply
Kingston Fury Beast Black B2 5600MT/s DDR5 64GB
AORUS B860I AORUS PRO ICE
Kingston KC3000 PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 1TB SSD
ASUS Prime AP201 MicroATX White Case
Cooler Master MasterLiquid 360L Core ARGB 360mm
The Perfomance settings produce pretty good results, but the thermal is keeping the CPU below 80C, which seems a little low based on previous i7 and i9 processors using MSI and ASUS motherboards and the bios 'easy' OC settings.
Will using the Extreme settings cause the CPU to degrade possibly?
What is the GBT option?
I work for an architecture firm, so I want speed and stability, and about a 7-year lifespan.
Thanks.
