Hi guys so this is kinda of a weird question but here it goes: So i bought a r9 270 gigabyte 2gb of craigslist used for maybe 4 months as the seller listed. I came back home checked out the card and it looked fine. I dissembled the card cleaned it (dusting and adding some Arctic Cooling Mx-4) then re assembled the card. After that i re-installed windows ( just to start fresh cause it was slowing down) and downloaded league of legends. So when i went in game i noticed my fps in game is about 90fps I know league is not a intensive game and that a 1280x1024 monitor should be a joke for the r9 270 to run but somehow i was getting 90fps maxing everything out. I do run this on an AMD A-10 5800k (an Apu) but the igpu is disabled im pretty sure. The card is overclocked to 1050mhz ( instead of its 975 oc clock) and the memory is oc'd also to 6000mhz (instead of the default 5600mhz clock). I have no idea whats wrong here.

25% load I check Gpu z and the card idles at 300mhz but when i go into gaming it also just stays at 300mhz i will double check that right now

Your gpu clock needs to be much much higher

yeah the thing is i overclocked it to 1050mhz but its at 300mhz for some strange reason only when i run kombuster from msi it will go to 1050mhz

Thermal throttling , see the temps on the card . Also check that the thermal paste was still applied when you disassembled the card.

yeah so i checked the temp stays at about 40 C but it will go from 1050mhz to 300 mhz and then back again so the card is throttling

Theres enough cooling im pretty sure theres a fan exhausting right beside it and a fan beneath it in taking air

See the thermal paste then and try to set the fans speed to 100%

thermal paste is fine but fans are 25%

there reved up all the way now im going to re check league right now

still is dropping to 300mhz at times but also it gets up to 1050mhz the memory also drops from the 6000mhz to 150mhz

Do you have the latest bios for your motherboard ? Check for it and if there's a bios update then do it
