Gigabyte R9 280X Overclocking tips?

just bought my new r9 280x today , and god was it a huge upgrade from a HD 6870 , now to the topic, i have the card on stock speeds for now , the card runs super cool and my case has good airflow so temps are no biggie , can someone help me out in overclocking this card , also im using CCC (amd overdrive) to overclock as MSI Afterburner never saves my OC settings everytime i boot up windows ? thanks

are you getting too low fps in any games - otherwise there's no reason to overclock

Nah cards running great , but i love overclocking CPU's and GPU's thats why

ok, so change the values on the ccc sliders small steps at a time, and see where you can take it at. although if i was you i'd simply enjoy it at the stock speeds and oc when/if i find the need to do it (some games/detail levels where it can't keep a constant 60 fps or whatever i need). for 1080p / 60hz you probably would have to wait a while before you find any.

edit: oc-ing is never 100% safe so it'd be a crying shame if you broke it the day you got it.

Do you have the Card? Becasue im downloading Witcher 3 and really can not wait to play with this card , i have the Pentium G3258 @ 4.7Ghz

nope, not that particular model, but i've oc-ed amd cards in the past. your cpu will hold the card back a bit anyway, there's no reason to oc the card.
