Gigabyte r9 280x won't start on my system, keeps giving post error of 0_
computer boots as normal, card turns on and fans start spinning. Bios screen comes up, no beeps no mobo noises. I can enter bios one in three times as it seems the USB controller randomly turns off. If i let it boost past bios it goes to a black screen (not blank) with " 0_ " in the bottom right corner and locks there. I've tried updating MOBO bios, card bios, cleared CMOS, booted in UEFI (never got past post screen for some reason). I've ordered a second card from amazon that does the same thing and I've also talked to GIGABYTE and Intel tech support with no success.

i5 2500k
gigabyte r9 280x oc windforce
intel dp67bg bios vers 2209
6gb crucial 1333mhz
any help would be appreciated guys.
edit: forgot to add that I brought the card to a friend's and it worked fine. my setup has also run a gtx 570 for 2+ years no problem.
