I have a Gigabyte R9 380 graphics card for my pc, though I receive around 29fps~ on Assassin's Creed Origins when on Medium quality, and other games I receive around 80 fps on Counter-Strike Global Offensive on high quality, is this normal or may it be another component of my computer that causes these low frames?

Spec out your whole system, also what resolution are you playing at?

What exactly is the question here, are you wondering why you get much higher fps in some games than others? It's because some games just aren't as demanding, for instance CSGO is a very easy game to run hence you getting high fps. AC: Origins is much newer and more demanding, which is why it runs slower. I wouldn't expect it to run super well, given that you have a low-med CPU and GPU.

The question here, CSGO was just an example; but the problem is AC: Origins, since the graphics card and CPU aren't great for these types of games I would now guess, what would be a good path to get better quality/fps, even to the extent of buying something. Whats the main problem of the low fps, the GPU or CPU or both at the same time? If so any suggestions?

No, these are actually kinda low frame rates for his hardware, Do you have newest drivers installed?

I think I do, though I am not sure how to check, I can tell you the versions of the drivers for the gpu which are:
Radeon Software Version
18.1.1
Radeon Settings Version
2018.0112.1644.30111
Driver Packaging Version
17.50.15.01-180112a1-322990E-RadeonSoftwareAdrenalin
2D Driver Version
8.1.1.1634

I do not know how to check for the CPU

Your not using the newest driver, do a quick google search for r9 380 drivers and go to the amd website

So what should I do if it didn't change anything?

If its not a driver issue, it could just be the card itself not running very well, you could try overclocking the card. There is only one other thing i can think that would cause it but I would stand far from recommending this fix.

I am using Asus strix r9 380 4gb
Paired with i5 6600k
16GB(2x4)DDR4 2333MHz Kingston hyperx memory
I get 40+fps easily on high settings at 1080p
Maybe your cpu is bottlenecking or
Since fx 8350 is too old it might be having optimisation issues

It's not optimization issues, its just old. FX was very popular but it kinda fell flat on it's face since it was based on Bulldozer, if AMD could remake FX on the Zen architecture it would crush. Sadly it was based on Bulldozer which would have 2 cores same the same resources, like cache and such, and this caused the cores to run slower than we would have liked, so an 8 core ran like a 4 or 6 core and it wasn't that good. Also, you have to realize your running a much faster CPU and DDR4 instead of an old and slow CPU with DDR3.
