Hello,
OK so i purchased this Gigabyte 7970 and i know that the core voltage is locked. My question is... Can you still adjust core/memory Clocks while Core voltage is locked. Would this be wise to do?

Of coarse. You should still be able to overclock at least a little on stock voltages. Also make sure the voltage IS locked. Try using Trixx.

yes, you still can tweak core frequency. btw, the default voltage of Gigabyte 7970/7950 reaches the max. parameter that AMD suggests. it's not safe to overdrive more...

All SAPPHIRE cards come completely unlocked. I have had 3, and my brother has 1. They have never broke no matter how high I pushed them.

as for temps at 1000/1400 that i tried my temp never went above 60c and my case fans are still at 45% 3x200mm and 3x140mm BitFenix Pro and 2x120mm Noctua NF-F12
