From what I've seen the RX 5700 XT outperforms the RTX 2060 Super, but is more noisy, hot and power hungry.

Furthermore, I'm interested in streaming and from what I've seen and read the AMD encoder quality isn't good compared to NVIDIA NVENC. Also the DLSS is useful in some games, but I don't see any utility in ray tracing at the moment.

I guess I'll go for the RTX 2060 Super. Do you share the same opinion? Also do you think there are better options given the price at the moment?

Thank you in advance!

Generally speaking, yes.

but is more noisy, hot and power hungry.
From a noise standpoint, it'll depend on the specific partner model(s) for the 5700/5700XT. The reference/blower cooler is noisy.

Depending on specific settings etc you want to use... It can be beneficial, but both are pretty fit for purpose in terms of encoding.

Depends on the price and your specific location.
At 360EUR (2060S) and 390EUR (5700XT).... If pricing scales, I'd probably look to a 5700 (non-XT) myself.

Where are you located? Do you have any specific websites you'd be buying from?

Perhaps a 1070 is available for less? It's older stock, so there's a possibility....
