Hi, I'm currently saving up for a mid tier pc build and I was just wondering if the the above gpu's have any difference.

Gigabyte RX 580 8GB - 220 USD
Gigabyte RX 5500 XT 8 GB - 240 USD

Are there any driver issues between these two? Are the performance the same while gaming? (Read some reviews that this wasnt a very good GPU) Whose build quality is better? Is it worth the 20 usd more?

All replies are appreciated, thanks! :].

Here is a review with a lot of cards and games. As you can see the 5500xt is faster. But also notice that it's slower than the 590 which is simply an oc'd 580. So depending on model and clock speeds how much faster it is depends. I wouldn't upgrade to the 5500xt if i already had a 580, but I'd get the 5500xt if starting from scratch.

I'd do that because of driver support. The rx580 will stop getting drivers sooner than the 5500xt. Support for the 5500xt will last longer.

Thank you for your reply. Just a question, have the drivers been fixed for the RX 5500 XT? I'm planning to get an 8gb version of the Sapphire Pulse. Thanks in advance.
