Well, sadly AMD/ATI is a business, it will jack up prices when there's no immediate competition and will lower up prices if it has good competition.

And so until nVidia releases equivalent cards, expect such pricings from them.
 
I'd like to see some benchmarks after a couple of driver refreshes. I've been itching to build a (what I consider) capable HTPC without breaking the bank.

I also just saw in the paper an add for future sho for a 4650 1GB DDR2 (DDR2, really!?) for $110.
It's pathetic.

Either buy an 4670 for $60, or buy a 5770 for $150, screw anythign else...
