Hello,
I want to mount my gigabyte RTX 3070 vision vertically to complete the whole look. I want to use a vertical bracket with a pci-e riser cable. 2 questions arise to which I'm having a hard time finding answers:
  • Will my GPU be limited by pcie-3.0 riser?
  • Will my GPU fit vertically below noctua nh-d15?
I have asked fractal design support however a week passed and I have yet to hear a response.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Wow,that looks clean
Yeah as i thought,it is a tight fit xD
Paint the CPU cooler fans white?
Or i would get this.
It would really follow the theme well imo.
Yea, I'm actually planning to go for the chromax shield thing.
I'm not gonna paint the fans mate xd
maybe someday I will get the white dampeners for noctua fans, however I'm not sure about that yet

I would just leave it at the chromax covers.
Also i would grab some psu cable extensions.
Mainly for 24pin connector and GPU power cables.
Something like this.
And thats about it,i wouldnt touch anything else.
Sick pc you have there

Since I live in Poland these things are quite inaccessible for me so I was thinking about sleeving them myself. However that's to be determined soon as the german amazon started delivering here without ridiculous prices on shipping.

The fit is not that tight actually. It's just that I'm tall and pictures are always taken from a bit too far above.
The gap is considerable (about 0,5cm)
As long as you can operate in that area,i would consider it good.
God,when i remember my old lenovo OEM case.
I had to cut the HDD cage's metal piece with a grinder, since my GPU was to long for it.That also meant taking everything out of the case, since i dont want any of the small metal that is going to fall, land on the motherboard.
It was a real pain, especially for my fingers xD
Basically i needed that 1cm clearance to plugg 8pin pcie connector.
BTW you can see in the signature how short the GPU is,so it was not like i was putting a Strix 3090 in it.

Good luck with that one. Some chassis have an easier time of V-gpu than others.
Not much more you can do with that one other than:
-Add 2-3 top exhaust fans, but then they interfere with cpu cooling; a single top exhaust doesn't do enough.
-Remove those 2 vertical PCIe covers - should let a little more air through.

Imma think about the removal of the vertical brackets
It's like that by design.

That said, a Vcore offset of 0.01 - 0.03v could help a little. Don't go too high on the offset, because then performance will take a hit.
thanks for the help, imma try it out
