So I disassembled an old r9 280x to bake in an oven and hurray its working!

However, the middle fan of this gigabyte model is making a noise at certain RPMs. Even changing the resolution to 1080p causes more noise than at 800x600.

My idle temps right now are 37 C, so my question, Is it worth the hassle to try and replace it or is it okay to keep it this way if I can bear the noise?

Just to note. -The fan IS spinning. -While the GPU is off when I flick the fan with my finger it does stop fairly quickly compared to the other two.

So do you guys think this will have a huge effect on my gaming performance or no? Should I check the fan speeds and temps under load to make my decision?

Finally, if I want to open the fan casing to apply some machine oil, which side of the fan sticker should I open, the top or the bottom?

Thanks in advance.
