Gigabyte x58a-udr3 and PCIe 3

Hi... I have a gigabyte X58A-UD3R motherboard which I bought in 2010. There is nowhere that I can tell whether this board supports PCIe 3. I want to upgrade my graphics card and I'm wondering whether my motherboard is compatible. Does anyone know for sure?

it does not support pci-e3 but your cards will not be affected as no card as of now can actually use pci-e 2 fully, let alone pci-e 3

Thank you fellow Canadian! My pci-e 2 graphics card is bust unfortunately so I have to get a new one. Since my mobo doesn't support the newer cards, I have to get an older one from somewhere then, right?

it supports the new cards no problem. im talking about how the pci-e revision doesnt really matter for you right now

Ok then. That proves the Canada Computers salesman to be wrong. He suggested that there are known issues with Gigabyte x58 motherboards with pci-e 3 cards. Hence my question.

it could be. id give the board a bios update before doing it. there shouldnt be any problems as i did it before on pci-e 2 boards
