I am in my 50's and it has been a few years since I built a new pc. I got lazy and bought an Alienware. Just bought new parts for a new rig and having issues with getting a Gigabyte x870X Pro Ice 1.1 to boot up. I have ran through the guantlet of reseating the processor (Ryzen 9 9950x) twice and replugging in all components to ensure I had everything right. Tried to clear CMOS. The code screen has never come on once to issue any codes. It is black. The memory led was lit on first attempt and after a few attempts the cpu led light is on. I have never had a bad board before and it's my first Gigabyte. Is my board DOA? Thanks in advance for any help.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.

Rams in slots A2 and B2? Might want to inspect the CPU's socket for any bent or broken pins.

Apologies:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X

CPU cooler: iD Cooling FX360 inf

Motherboard: Gigabyte X870E Aorus Ice Pro revision 1.1
Ram: CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB DDR5 RAM 64GB (2x32GB) 6400MHz CL32 Intel XMP 3.0 Desktop Computer Memory - White (CMH64GX5M2B6400C32W)
AND ran to Micro Center and tried these as they were on the supported list:
G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB Series 64GB (2 x 32GB) DDR5-6400 PC5-51200 CL32 Dual Channel Desktop Memory Kit F5-6400J3239G32GX2-TZ5RW - White

SSD/HDD: Samsung SSD 9100 PRO 4TB, PCIe 5.0x4 M.2 2280
GPU: ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 5070 Ti OC Edition
PSU: Cosair RM850x Shift
Chassis: Antec Flux
OS: Windows 11 Home
Monitor: Dell 32 Plus 4K Monitor - S3225QS

Mointer is a year old and everything else is brand new. Bios is whatever shipped from the factory on the board. Cannot get into it to see what version it is.
