Good morning everyone. I came across a problem with my computer and i need your help!
To begin with i have an intel i7 5820k cpu, gigabyte x99 gaming 7 motherboard, 4*4gb corsair vengeance lpx 2666 cl 16 ram, thermaltake smart se 630w psu and evga gtx 970 ftw graphics card
Before 2 days i dissassemble my computer to clean it.. I cleaned everything and then i putted again everything inside the case... i pressed the power button on the case but nothing happened,i pressed the power buttton on the motherboard. nothing.. i jumped the power pins and again nothing so i begin taking things out of the case to troubleshoot..
(At this moment i should point that my motherboar has a power button build in , which is lighting red all the time the motherboard recieves electricity)

Now the problem i discovered...
I took everything out of the case and i left only board-cpu-ram on a test bench. I connected the power supply on the motherboard but when i turn the switch on (on the psu) the red light under the power button on my motherboard(whitch is supposed to be red all the time) lights up for a second or less and shuts off... i re-do all this process but the same every time. the light lights for a second and then turns off...
I tested also the power supply with a jumper and fan works ok.. Does that mean that my psu is ok? and the problem is my motherboard?

Solution
If the bristles of the brush are made out of non conductive material or you used too much effort there is a posibility that you damaged your motherboard while cleaning it.You might have just been lucky all the other times you de-dusted your parts out.Its better using canned air.Lets hope your motherboard is not damaged.By the way can you somehow test if your other components are working?
