Question Gigabyte z170 gaming motherboard restart loop - any ideas ?

I have had issues with my computer, trying to figure out what the problem is.

• PSU seems okay.
• When I connect PSU to MB only and then connect a fan to the MB and start the PSU, the fan runs for 3 odd seconds and then the PSU resets, going into an infinite loop of restart. (the same thing happens regardless of whether I put the CPU and Ram on the MB)

Is this normal? This Gigabyte MB is really bad (no LED, no beep speakers etc). Does anyone know if motherboards are supposed to do that?

You will need to post full system specs, including make, model & age of the PSU.

Please type specs clearly in a vertical list, not all on one line.
