I finished building my first rig last night and everything appears to be functioning fine, although I've noticed a few things. There's a solid red light on the upper right part of my case facing the motherboard. But since my case required me to install it upside down, It's actually on the lower left corner. To be less confusing here's an image of my mobo (light emits somewhere around the F_Audio port on upper left of this image): http://www.gigabyte.com/fileupload/product/2/5530/20150821142211_big.png

Build specs------
CPU: Intel i7-6700k
Mobo: Gigabyte z170mx
DDR4 RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8GB 3200mhz
Case: Bitfenix Prodigy M
Cooler: Enermax ETS-N30R-HE
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB
PSU: EVGA 500W 80+ Bronze
OS: Windows 10

All drivers/BIOS are installed and up to date. My RAM is 3200mhz but I haven't done anything to adjust or overclock it yet. They are however installed in Channel A which according to the manual are the black slots pictured, but are slots #2-4--does that matter? I'll also double check to make sure all fans (+ heatsink fan) are working. But after installing a few things overnight the CPU temp is a consistent ~37C which sounds good?

The other "issue" (not sure if related) is that booting up still seems to be pretty slow in my opinion. I'm not using any SSDs, and my last computer was running with a Core 2 Quad Q9300 so I was really expecting this to feel like a HUGE jump on startup. On Windows 10 it feels sluggish. I'm doing a clean install as we speak but just wanted to call it out in case there are any BIOS-or-whatever-related steps I'm missing? Once I'm actually using my computer for normal tasks I can feel the difference. I was also trying to research UEFI settings but have no idea what I should be doing.

And finally...My new build sounds considerably loud than my last, which was silent. My Bitfenix case came with 2 stock 140mm fans + using my Enermax cpu cooler. My last one just had one 120mm fan and was so quiet with an Arctic Freezer 13 .

If there are any other things to look out for or any general steps that one should do with a fresh build please let me know. Thanks!

Solution
That appears to be the BIOS default setting for the Audio LED.

Audio LED
Enables or disables the onboard audio LED function.
Off Disables this function.
Still Mode The LEDs stay constantly on. (Default)
Beat Mode The brightness of the LED changes according to the music rhythm.
Pulse Mode The brightness of the LED changes slowly and smoothly like breath.

Oh wow. So nothing bad? I always assume anything RED is bad, hahaha. Won't be home for a while but will check it out later and report back. Thank you :)
