Gigabyte Z390 M Gaming motherboard
Has anyone had memory issues ( Sticks not working) I'm running I5-8500 on this board with stock cooler on initial build.

I've tried
CORSAIR Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 DRAM DDR4 3000 (PC4 24000) Desktop Memory Model CMW16GX4M2D3000C16
and
Gigabyte 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2666 (PC4 21300) Desktop Memory Model GP-GR26C16S8K2HU416

Tried pairing is slots for dual channel.

Neither brand works\

I get 5 beeps , memory error, machine restarts again and does the same deal. I've reset CMOS several times to no avail.

Thoughts and suggestions

Did you try with one stick of ram on slot B1? Are you trying to mix and match or are you saying that you tried both kits stand alone? Inspect the CPU socket for bent or broken pins. Try removing the CMOS battery and replace after 15 mins with the slot B1 or A1 populated with the DDR4-2666MHz stick of ram.

Tried Stick in A1 alone, Tried diff stick in B1 alone, Tried 2 diff stix in A1 and B1 . All the same error code 4 long beeps, 1 short beep. Memory all works fine in other machines. Removed cpu cooler, cpu and checked motherboard with a magnifying glass, no bent pins. Tried CPU in another build and it works fine. Checked all plugs from power supply making sure they were all seated correctly.

Still get 4 long and 1 short beep......arghhhhhhhhhhhhhh
