Hi all,

I recently bought a ram upgrade for my PC and cannot seem to get it to work at its default speed of 2133mhz using XMP1..

Please bare in mind that I am new to XMP and overclocking.

So, what I have done so far, ...in the Bios I select XMP1, then I adjust the speed in the drop down menu and select 2133MHZ, I then press F10 saving the BIOS, the computer then shuts down and then comes back on a few seconds later reporting there was an issue with overclocking. If I change the speed to 1600Mhz, the PC accepts the change and boots into windows.

I am told I need to change voltages, can anyone help with this at all?

Motherboard: Gigabyte Z68P-DS3 (Rev 1.0)
CPU: i5-2500k
RAM: G.Skill RipjawsX 2133MHz (PC3-17000), 240 pins with timings of CL10 (10-12-12-31) at 1.6V. (F3-2133C10Q-32GXM)
BIOS: F9

Thanks
