Having the same issue as many others with the Z690 Gaming X DDR4 - NVME not recognized. Have attempted to flash the mother boards, but when I run flash.nsh it quickly starts and then loads back to Shell. Likely missing something simple. Any ideas?

Solution
bios usb port is used for bios flash recovery
  1. doesnt really matter, bios wont update incorrect bios
  2. q flash should work
btw F4 seems to be first launch bios release

yes it simple...gigabyte are noobs lol

flash.nsh contains efiflash.efi Z690AORUSULTRA.F4 command, but you dont have aorus ultra mainboard :D
efiflash.efi Z690GAMINGXDDR4.F4 use this command

Honestly this wasn’t my first choice of boards. But it was all that was available without stupid markup. Pretty sure I have the correct installer. I have not tried “q flash” but will 1. Make sure I don’t have the ultra flash, and 2. Try the q flash option.

I also have not been using the bios USB port when attempting just via uefi. Does it have to be specifically that port? Or only for q flash?

F2 is OOTB. F4 is required for m.2 support. Not sure why they would release something without that off the mfg line... that is the standard no days.. lul

Will try again here shortly and hopefully be done with it.

thanks!
