Hi all!

So i upgraded my system recently now its

i5 3570k
8gb no name 1333mhz
OCZ Vertex4 128gb
Gigabyte Z77-D3H

I was planning to use my old hdd -WD 320gb sata2 as storage
so i plugged to mainboard slots:
dvd rom sata-0
vertex4 sata-1
WD 320gb sata-2

In bios my settings are:
SATA mode:AHCI
xHCI Pre boot: disabled
xHCI Mode: disabled

when installing win7 64bit after first reboot i get some sort of error and wasn't able to continue installation until i unplugged the old hdd

I have the same problem on Z77X-D3H. Once I connect up the HDD everything goes dead, Windows doesn't boot. Once HDD is disconnected, and there's only SSD it works fine.
This is just one issue amongst many other. This series motherboards are absolutely terrible.

Hi - You did plug ur Sata 2 into one of the Sata 2/3/4/5 connectors -right?
I have 2 int (& 2 ext) hdd running on that same mobo, altho neither is an SSD.
