Gigabyte Z77 Motherboard USB Issues

Hey guys random problem that just started up when I woke today. I've always thought the usbs ports on my gigabyte ga-z77x-ud3h were a bit wonky but today when I woke up 4 of the 6 ports are dead. They seem to have power as when I plug in my keyboad or mouse it will light up for a second or two before dying or not working. I have updated drivers and played through bios setting and can't seem to find the issue any suggestions?

Make sure you install the right driver because there are two types USB port, one is from intel and other is from VIA.
If you did install the VIA driver, then try to clean the CMOS, then reboot the PC sometime it will work like this way.

I tried to update both but the VIA drivers wouldn't install for some reason, maybe that's the problem?

Try update the intel chipset first, then update the VIA USB driver again. Also try to update the VIA USB Hub Controller Firmware.

ok so when downloading the VIA driver I get an error that the installer can't find the supported hardware. Obviously this is part of the overall problem any idea how I can fix it?

Maybe the VIA USB is broken. Try call gigabyte for the warranty.
