tom's hardware hi :)

i am recently built a monstrous new pc with these specs:

CPU:Intel I7-4790K(Devil's canyon)
Motherboard:GIGABYTE z87x-oc
RAM:2xKingston HyperX fury 8GB DDR3 @1866Mhz
CPU Cooler:Freezer Xtreme rev.2
GPU:nVidia GeForce GTX970 Gigabyte G1 Gaming
Hard drives:
Kingston SSDNOW V300 120GB SSD
WD Blue edition 1TB HDD
Case:Zalman Z11 Neo
PSU:antec VP700P

the thing is that... after installing everything for the very firse time(while taking anti ESD mesures and checking every connection),i pressed the button and the following happend:

the fans(including the cpu fan)spinning fine and the MBIOS led is lit(so i presume the bios is on)but there's nothing on the display(tested with multiple monitors/tv's,with and without the gpu)
and no debug codes on the MB whatsoever... is anyone expirencing the same issue or know how to fix it? thanks in advance...

Solution
If the MB is brand new, it maybe the BIOS version problem, because z87 motherboard needs newer bios for the Haswell Refresh cpu, like your MB that needs F8 for the i7 4790K, even it came out 3/19/2014 but it is not the 1st version, the 1st one is F6 ( 8/5/2013)
And if you have other compatible cpu try use it to see what bios the MB has, and may update it. Or go to local PC shop ask for help. Or return the Z87, for i7 4790K I will recommend to buy the Z97 MB.

i will probably go with it to my pc shop this friday... they will take care of it(all this multibios and oc switches stuff is not my problemnow! HA!)

well. i sent it to the lab and they did the bios update,so it works now... but the PCI-E x16 slot is not working(Why god whyyyyy, why not the x4) so i am going to install os and RMA it anyway... (will request mobo with updated bios...)
