recently bought

- GA Z97X G7 rev 1.0
- i7 4790 Intel
- Memory G.Skill 2x8GB - F3 - 1866C9D - 16GXM

Problem is , when inserting 2 memory sticks in any combination MB won't boot
Tried all of them 1, 3 / 2, 4 DIMM slots
Only 1 module inserted in any slot the MB boots

According to GA website a similar DIMM appears on memory HW compatibility list
http://download.gigabyte.us/FileList/Memory/mb_memory_ga-z97x-gaming7.pdf
F3 - 1866C9D - 16GAB

Does it have to be 100% the same ?

If not is this a MB issue ?
Memory ?

Solution
Could check in the Socket for bent broken pins, or may just have a set of sticks that don't want to play. Can you borrow a pair of sticks that are working in aanother rig?

Yes tried every possible combination
No biit
Unless you move to a single DIMM

I'll get another set of sticks by tomorrow
But Isn't the fact that a single stick works fine any indication?

Thx Tradesmen1, you are correct the pair of DIMMS didn't like each other :)
Got it replaced by the store all is well.
The RipJaws G.Skill 1866 2x8GB indeed do work with any GA Z97x - Gaming 7 (or other from the same family)
