My company just recently purchased a used GigaVue-420 by Gigamon, and it is password protect with something other than the default root/root123.
Could anyone help me with the process to restore these thing back to the default configuration?
I contacted Gigamon support, and they will not help unless I pay for a service contract.
I figured out how to get into the RedBoot bootstrap (ROMRAM) by using CTRL-C, but that is about it.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Michael.

Contact the previous owner for the info or purchase a service agreement with Gigamon. If for legitimate use, your company should have no issue purchasing support for the device.
If you have already contacted Gigamon then I am afraid the only advice you will be able to get here is to contact the entity you bought it from. We have no way of knowing how you actually acquired the hardware...sorry.
