I didn't play in a long time, and after playing a very easy 1st person
shooter I decided to fire up OFP (which is still the best game of all
times) again and look at the newsgroup.

Great to see so many familiar names still around.

So, while we are waiting for OFP2, are you guys still having regular
online games?

Is TJ still hosting?

I have 1.96 installed and a dedicated linux server 1.96 running. But it
is running on a different port than 2302 so it doesn't show up on GameSpy.

Maybe a game or two Sat./Sun.?

Good to see you back.
TJ's server lives on (in a much newer shinier faster form)
Check out this http://tj-www.kicks-ass.org/ for details of the server etc
You're going to need a whole bunch of addons and ventrilo voice comms
(details on the website)
If you've got any questions just post them here and I'm sure that I or any
of the other regs will help.

half ago.

Voice-comm adds a LOT of fun into the game !

The server is up 24/7

Looks like you gotta lotta downloading to do. The addons needed on the
server are listed on the website but IIRC the main ones to get are
1. The updated BAS Delta/Rangers addons
2. All of the BAS helicopters
3. The BAS Tonal island addon
4. The BAS JAM addons
5. CTI addons
6. The SEBNAM2 addons if you don't already have them

Ventrilo works really well. We don't bother typing messages any more so you
really do need it.
The version of Ventrilo available on the website is apparently better than
the more recent versions so use that.

Yup. It's still the same crowd, plus a few more. Still the same "flava",
however!

Although, you really need them >all<. You can forget about FDF for the
moment, and probably WGL and ECP too. They're all "back benched" for the
time being.
