Give me decent gaming pc build around 900$Max-

I'm not new to the pc world though I am looking to get a new computer. I have a good Idea how to build one from research, though I think I need help choosing the correct parts for it. I don't want to just spend and hope for the best so I came for expert help here hopefully. Give me some info on how this all really works. So really a build and some info on it.

meh get some ML 4th gen i5, R9 285,cheap motherboard,cheap case, 256GB SSD, 4X2 1866Mhz RAM,fair 500W bronze 80+ PSU and you're good to go. Energy efficient and environment friendly.

or get K series i5, R9 290( or R9 280X) overclock both as high as you can,1TB HDD+128 SSD, 4X2 RAM sticks 700W PSU and some really loud aftermarket cooler,don't forget headphones,otherwise sounds from the PC may torture you to death.
