My first Intel rig, I have always built AMD. I was wanting some comments on how it will run Skyrim and Maya 2013 on
my Sharp Aquos 40" 1080p LED LCD tv.

This will tell you weather or not your computer meets the minimum and, recommended requirements, of a game you choose.
If it meets the recommended requirements, then it should run these games quite well.

maya will run fine on that setup i run autodesk 2013 on mine fine. it takes surprisingly low requirements to run it, but very high requirments to run it properly without mem issues. 6-8 gigs will get you maybe 100,000 pollys b4 the scene slows down which may sound a lot but in reality its not. is my latest creation.. theres so much wrong with it atm i cant import it into mudbox without it throwing up a dozen errors but with 6 gigs of ram it takes less than a minute to render on my sig system and yours should manage the same. maybe slightly quicker. in total theres about 15,000 pollys. if i max it out on the render it will take about 40 mins to finish added in to the final scene with around 30 marines a rhino and some other backrtound stuff it takes nearly 2 hours to render... with well over 150,000 pollys.
