It is a business. Of course they would let Apple use it for themselves, IF Apple were willing to pay to do so.

no, you don't understand. Apple wanted to use the WHOLE fab just for Apple. And GloFo said "no".

Apple wouldn't even WANT to use this FAB. Did even read the story? It's in the US.

When I read this, I thought the guy was going to spend a lot of time on vacation on that infamous island in the Mediterranean, rather than Malta, New York (and I live in the state of New York). Just an FYI for anyone else confused by it.

I live less than an hour from Fab 8. Nothing in this article confused me =)
