Gloves of Mining & Tribal Berries

Hello all - again :)

My Legendary Smith, Reorx, has been mining for just over two years now and
is very close to GM, I have been plinking away at it every night lately
getting the .1 gain.

My question is, should I stop at 95.0 and use the +5 mining gloves to push
me to 100 and then use the other five points elsewhere... or would it truly
benefit me to go to 100 and still keep the gloves of mining? would it put me
at 105 - I don't think there is a P/S for mining....

Also, on my GM Tailor, Symbul, I have started to train the Cooking skill,
pretty useless but... very easy to raise. Is there any benefit to GMing it,
or should I stop at 80 so I can make the Savage Kin Paint?

Where does one obtain, or what do you need to kill to get the Tribal Berries
from?

Thanks!
Paul

No, and the 105 Mining gives you a small chance of 1-2 more colored
ore in a pile. If you have somewhere else you need 5 points you don't
*really* need to GM Mining.

GM Cook is like GM Herding or GM Camping: It's something you do just
to prove you can do it.

Female savage warriors.

If I get back first, let me know that I'm
looking for myself and don't let me leave.

<Snip>

Nope, no PS for mining. The 105 Vs. 100 gives you about 7% more ingots back
when you are smelting. So you get 67% of your ingots back at 105 and 60% at
100. (I think it actually works out to 6.???? % but it's been a while since
I worked it out. Since you are already LS it depends on how much you smelt.
If its a lot you could make up a lot of ingots. Personally I think since you
are already trained up to LS, It would be better to go with 95 mining and
use the +5 gloves.

Go for the full 100!
The extra success chance at 105 mining vs. 100 is more than worth the extra
effort and dedication it takes to GM mining.

For me, at least, it made the years of mining finally seem justified, it was a
true accomplishment and the end result of all my hours and hours of hard work.

But ultimately, it's your decision...I will say, though, as a GM Miner with the
+5 gloves, my high end ingot loads are noticably higher than when i mine
without them. :}

*Just out of curiousity, and slightly OT, what were you crafting around 103
Smithing? I've been trying to get to 110 for months, and my efforts have been
less than spectacular...*

Master miner? Pah! Go for GM and use the gloves as extra...that valorite is
going to be easier to smelt! I once heard a rumour that the gloves were
coded to the colour of ore they resembled, but I *think* it was just a
rumour.
