glue front panel

Hi, i got a front panel that is slightly loose in the top , is it possible to use glue? what kind of glue should i use? thanks

Hot glue gun mate - very handy to have around anyway.

Or just get some double sided 3m foam tape

Or you can use Velcro pads, at least that way you'll be able to remove the panel for cleaning.

^ yeah I used those on my HiFi speaker screens when I snapped the pegs - do a good job & as you say removeable with a good tug.

This glue is also nice. You put it on both parts, then put them together. It acts like very strong rubber cement. You can disassemble then clean and reapply glue.

I used it to put my GPS watch back together after I installed a new battery (battery was not replaceable).

thanks, good information . could double sided tape and glue also be used or glueing a fan to a heatsink?

3m branded foam tape ?? Very very strong.

Hot glue is best though if you're after a permanent fixing.
It sets as a solid plastic.

ok thanks i will buy some of that, do you Think glue also can hold a fan to heatsink? i got a few computers with passive coolers that i would like to get some fans on top off.

Hot glue is kind of sketchy for fan to cpu cooler use.
I have seen people use it in all fairness.
It wont melt again but it can get kind of brittle under prolonged high temps.

Or mount a SPOT cooler somewhere in the case where it blows on the passive heat sink.

tsnor that could be just what i need, was using a usb fan like this the other day started to look for 3 pin fans that could do the same.

Sorry, I've never used these so I don't know how noisy. I knew about them because other people reported using them to cool VRM, etc in liquid cooled gaming PCs where the CPU fan was not there to throw air on the nearby parts.

The spot cools are 'fairly quiet' bearing g innmind they're a 100mm fan so straight away are lower rpm than a 72/80/92mm.

I think no matter what power connection you use if you set the fan to thermal mode it can still auto adjust speed (assuming it uses the same tech as the arctic tc fans which are able to lower speed even when using straight 12v molex power)

thanks , i probably will order a few. strange that that they dont make more of these seems like a very good setup for fans
