Question Glue sticking out of monitor edges

So, I was checking my monitor for any scratches when I bumped into something green sticking out of it. Is that supposed to be glue?

I'd say it's either glue or maybe gasket material that got pinched and got pushed out the side.

I don't think it's a problem and I would keep the monitor because things like that don't really bother me.
