HI guys. Yesterday I installed a gtx 690 into my pc and now when I play metro 2033 for a while (around 10 minutes) I hear a buzzing sound from my GPU and a minute later the game crashes.
I have all the latest drivers for everything.
PC specs:
i7 2600 3.4 ghz (no OC)
8gb ddr3 ram 1333mhz
850W ARTIC blue PSU
ASUS P8P67 pro motherboard
EVGA gtx 690 Signature (no OC on it as well)
Windows 8 pro 64-bit

I tried reinstalling the graphics drivers but it doesn't help.

The game crashes to desktop saying that metro 2033 has stopped working.

Cheap 850W power supply...that's probably the reason

K found The PSU specs... it has 4 12v rails each with 34amps (384w)... so theoretically he could run 4 GTX 690's off it IF it could supply consistent power... but it seems to be a cheap build PSU so I doubt it will.

Guys I just noticed that my gpu needs 2 8 pin connector so you need to plug 2 6-pin in each and then plug the 8 pin in the gpu. But my psu has 1 8 pin ready and another 6 pin. So what I did yesterday is that I pluged in the 8 pin from the PSU and I pluged The 6 pin in one of the cables that make 6 pin connectors to 8 pin but I was 1 6 pin short so I used one of the old ones from my 560's and its like a 6 pin without 1 of the pins so its like a 6 pin with 5 pin. and the connector that I pluged it in is also a 6 pin with 5 pins so I end up 1 pin short because its like a 6 pin but with 4 pins not 5 like its supposed to be. Can that be the problem?

It could be but the core problem is the fact that psu is probably (I'm pretty certain about this) too weak for your system. Replace it. A Corsair TX650 V2 can handle it and it isn't too expensive

If he had money to buy a GTX 690... He should have enough to get a decent PSU , although the corsair TX650 will be enough it will leave you very little head room to overclock, I would suggest getting at least a corsair TX750.

Well I will try to buy a deacent 6-pin connector first but if it doesn't do the job I will change the PSU.
