Going from a i3-3220 to a i5-3570k

So I already am like 100% my motherboard is able to handle the Intel i5 3570k cpu if I were to upgrade to it. I was curious as to how much of a performance boost would I be looking at. Would it be worth it and is there maybe something better that works with my motherboard that might even be cheaper?

I would like to stay around that $200 budget. Also, I use my computer for gaming and recording gameplay.

you would be wasting money to get the "k" edition becuase the h61 doesnt allow for overclocking. you can get plenty of i5's for that motherboard and they'd be a good upgrade. a 3470 is what i would go for in your situation

a 3570 or 3470 would be better choices because of the H61 chipset does not allow overclocking and the "k" at the ends means the CPU is overclock-able

So i should just go with the i5-3570 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115233 and i guess ill spend the $5 I save for a tube of thermal paste for the thermaltake cpu cooler I have.
