Going From GTX 770 to GTX 970

I am thinking of upgrading my current card that's a pny gtx 770 to a gtx 970. I play mostly league of legends which doesn't require a powerhouse but occasionally will pick up a game that's graphically intesive like Metal Gear Solid 4 Ground Zeroes. I noticed that I can play the game on high but not extra high. High is fine but im just being picky really so im wondering if its worth upgrading now or waiting 6 months in hopes that we will see a price drop.

970 is great and all but so is 770. Keep it for now then upgrade next year, AMD will bring new cards, prices will go down. 😉

I have a GTX 770 myself and I plan on waiting 1 or 2 years before upgrading or maybe longer depending on how games play on my system. On the graphics card hierarchy chart the GTX 970 is only 1 tier above the GTX 770 and the upgrade is only worthwhile if you upgrade to something that's at least 3 tiers higher. Right now that would be a GTX 690 or sli GTX 770 but I would at least wait and see what the 1000 series is like.
