Hi guys!
I am going to build a system for 3d max rendering, games and some photoshop.
1)Budget is 1700-2000 euros.

2)I wanted to start from gtx1070ti, 32 gb RAM, and i7 8700k.

3)what would be more efficient and powerful..8700k, some i9 or 1-2 Xeon processors?

Could tou pls help me with conponents and brands I should build it from??
Thanks a lot!)

Solution
The case ships with two 140mm fans, you could, if you want, add another pair to improve ventilation: Original fans in rear and top rear locations, new fans both in the front as intake, run each pair off a single motherboard header via a 'Y' splitter to simplify control. suggested fans would be BeQuiet! Silent wings 3, the High Speed variant, not the PWM type.
Apart from that tiny suggestion, I think for your requirements the build is about as close to perfection as it's ever likely to be. :)

Definitely 8700K, on your budget I don't think you could squeeze a higher end i7 or i9 in the mix since those can range for well over €1000 alone for the CPU. And once you get over a certain point you get diminishing returns on your investment. Alternately you could consider the Ryzen 7 2700X - you get two extra cores for the same price which will be good for editing and gaming performance it's on par with the 8700K.

Where do you live? Pcpartpicker: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/ may have your location ( change the little flag top right hand corner ).

As g-unit1111 says, it's unlikely we'll be able to go for a high end Intel CPU and motherboard, they'll take up too much of your budget.

It really boils down to what you use the system for the most: 3D Max likes as many cores and threads as you can throw at it so a R7 2700X is best here, an i7 8700K is slightly better at gaming and Adobe software also really prefers Intel parts so if you're mainly gaming and using Photoshop then Intel is the way to go.

In the meantime here's a R7 2700X build to think about:

I think they fixed that bug on X470 and the 2700X but I'm not entirely sure about that.

Hi guys! Thank you all for you answers.
I live in Germany, and I think about buying components in Computeruniverse, or build it with Alternate.de.

1)I was always using Intel processors, and I have double Xeon system at work, so I will pick Intel for this system as well. Just interesting what is performance difference between x2 Xeon E5-2630 vs i7 8700k.?

2) I am not going to overclock cpu..most likely, I do not want any problems, if it causes it.
Is there enough to have fan air cooling on 8700k??
Nocktua u12s, bequiet! pure rock or something bigger...I am not sure about liquid cooling.

3) is it better to have x2 1Tb HHD? One for multimedia, another for projects? For data safety.

Thanks a lot.

If you're not going to overclock there's no reason to get the 8700K. You can drop that to a non K CPU and run off the stock fan and you'll be fine.

Ok, understood
But still if I overclock it in future...is an air fan cooler - an option for that CPU? Which?
And can dual Xeon be an alternative for my budget ? (if it is not 8700k)

Sorry for too much questions...
I am just trying to choose details since a month or 2...

Depends on how far you want to overclock. Most people will want a solid air cooler for a mild overclock, anything else you will want a liquid cooler.

@ ars.arch01: In order to stay within budget and to sick with Intel the i7 8700K is the only realistic option.
From what I can see of German prices in PcPartpicker dual Xeons ( E5 2630 V3 or V4 )will cost you about 640 Euro each, putting them out of reach and making performance comparisons with the i7 8700/8700K pointless, the same goes for an i9 79XX, even the cheapest 10 core variant is going to cost about 900 Euro, again, putting it out of budget.

In the meantime here's a modified i7 8700K build:

CPU: Intel - Core i7-8700K 3.7GHz 6-Core Processor (€332.94 @ Mindfactory)
CPU Cooler: Noctua - NH-D15S 82.5 CFM CPU Cooler (€75.04 @ Amazon Deutschland)
Motherboard: MSI - Z370 GAMING PRO CARBON ATX LGA1151 Motherboard (€164.59 @ Alza)
Memory: G.Skill - Trident Z 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4-3000 Memory (€353.43 @ Mindfactory)
Storage: Samsung - 860 Evo 500GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (€114.51 @ Amazon Deutschland)
Storage: Seagate - Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (€57.80 @ Amazon Deutschland)

Video Card: Gigabyte - GeForce GTX 1070 Ti 8GB WINDFORCE Video Card (€497.94 @ Mindfactory)
Case: Phanteks - Enthoo Pro M ATX Mid Tower Case (€79.90 @ Caseking)
Power Supply: SeaSonic - FOCUS Plus Gold 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply (€98.35 @ Amazon Deutschland)
Operating System: Microsoft - Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit (€96.82 @ Mindfactory)

Kept the 'K CPU, even if you don't overclock it runs a little faster than the non 'K' variant.

Changed to the big Noctua air cooler, it's cheaper than the H100, very, very quiet, the design is offset so it'll clear ALL the memory slots AND the top PCI-E slot and has none of the potential maintenance and reliability issues of a closed loop water cooler.

Better motherboard, IF you decide to overclock this is a top class part for the job, if you don't, the better voltage regulation and cooling will still help with longevity and stability.

Moved to dual 2Tb HDDs from a single 3Tb unit.

Bigger case, better cooling, less noise.

Added a pair of extra fans, the Phanteks case only ships with one, rear mounted fan so you'll need these! ;)

Kept the Win 10 licence.

Feel free to add/remove or specify parts differently, especially the case and storage.

Looks great!
Thank you!

I have a couple of questions ...

1) Phanteks - Enthoo Pro M ATX Mid Tower Case - Not possible to buy in "Alternate.de" web site ( I think I am going to build it there, not to buy details separately), Is Fractal Design Focus G a good alternative?

2) Samsung - 860 Evo 500GB 2.5" SSD - Is it much slower than 960 EVO 250Gb?
But I think in any case 500Gb will be better than 250..

3) Gigabyte - GeForce GTX 1070 Ti 8GB WINDFORCE - Is it compatable with Asus Strix or Zotac AMP? Just curious about noise and temperature...)

4) I also need a WiFi module in...Can you advice me some? or is it simply "faster-better"?

Thank you very much!

1: You could use the Focus G but that big NH-D15S cooler will be a very tight fit, the Focus G supports coolers up to 165mm tall and the NH-D15S is 165mm tall, so I would advise you to consider another case with more room to be totally certain it will all fit. Does this look good to you? http://eu.coolermaster.com/en/case/case-by-series/mastercase-mc500/ This is available through Alternate.de and comes with two 140mm fans installed.

2: The SSD in my build is a 'slow' SATA III type, chosen for its mix of capacity and speed, if you are comparing it with the same 2.5" SATA interface version of the 960Evo the performance differences will be tiny.
NVMe PCI-E based drives in the M2 format CAN be significantly faster IF you're shifting very large amounts of data but are more expensive per Mb of storage, realistically their advantages for most of us are actually not that great saving seconds per load or save.

3: Any of those cards will be an excellent choice and as far as I know will work together if you are thinking about SLI in the future.

4: To be honest I have no idea at all...Sorry. :(

It is fantastic, but a bit expencive....but I think for 2000 euro build it is OK.
What do you think about this one?
http://www.fractal-design.com/home/product/cases/meshify/meshify-c

I have no plans to go with SLI in future...just want something, cold, quiet with good performance.

Can I change from MSI - Z370 GAMING PRO CARBON ATX LGA1151 Motherboard to ASUS Z370-A PRIME or ASROCK ASRock - Z370 Extreme4 ATX ???Big difference?

HA! HA!, I was also looking at the Meshify! Yes, it's a great case!
Just a point about tempered glass: It's strong and surprisingly tough but keep it away from hard surfaces ( like bare concrete floors and walls) and gemstones.
Seriously, I work at a company that makes replacement windows and the stuff never ceases to amaze me; It'll bend and flex like spring steel but just touch it with a diamond tipped cutter ( it looks like a pen but has a diamond tip and is used like a tile cutter for special shapes ) or tap it on the bare concrete floor and it disintegrates into thousands of tiny pieces with quite a loud pop.
The pieces are safe to handle BTW.

Any of the three cards will be good choices, although I think the Zotac Amp! will be just a tiny bit quieter than the Strix.

I very much doubt you will see any performance differences between the different motherboards so check the specifications and see which most closely matches your needs.

That is my final final build) I am ordering it in 1-2 days...

Changed to i7-7820x - cause 8 cores, better for render in 3d max

I am glad to hear it! Thanks!
Why not PWM fan ? Is there a big diference ?

Bigger doesn't always necessarily mean better when it comes to cooling. You can have a giant case and still have very poor air flow. You can also have a small case and have good air flow. It's all about how you set up your fans when you are actually ready to build.

The motherboard you have chosen has 5 PWM fan headers, so the choice is yours: ordinary 3 pin fans running at a fixed speed set in BIOS by you, or you can use PWM fans and set them run at different speeds according to system temperature, the cost difference isn't very great.
