hey guys I'm supposedly buying this rig:
Cpu: fx-8320
Gpu: gigabyte radeon r9 290
mobo: asus m5a78l-m lx
ram: crucial ballistix sport 2x4 gb 1600mhz
psu: LC POWER Office Series 600 W PC-voeding (LC600H-12)
case: Antec VSK-3000E ( I know it can't be any uglier than this but since I want the r9 290 I have to make sacrifices )

Only problem I see might be the psu, will it be enough?
Will be using it for gaming 1080p, reason for the r9 290 is because I want to keep this pc for quite some time withouth getting new expensive parts like a new gpu.

well, your cpu/mobo wont work, and if it does, its dangerouse. your mobo is rated up to 95watts, that cpu is 125. also, make sure your mobo is either micro-atx or atx, the one you selected was u-atx. other than that, you should be good to go :)

well looks like the lc600h-12 has 2 rails
12v1 - 20A
12v2 - 20A

.... do they stack xD?

Well it looks like they do stack only with a penalty judging from 75%-100% that would be 30-40 A, wich should be enough.

Well it would work!
Would I use a $40 Canadian psu to power a $500+ gpu and everything else?
Take a wild guess!
Also note it supplies 600W peak.
I'd love to see the internals of the unit!

well now that I think about it your right, 372 is the max power consumption on full load, divide that by 12 and you have 31A, now provided that the 2 12 volt rails stack with a penalty the remaining wont be enough to power the mobo so its insufficient. http://www.beslist.nl/computers/d0000875177/z5KVo5yZo6RenpySlaSe/MS-Tech_MS-N950-VAL_%28_MS-N950_VAL_%29_Voeding_%28_intern_%29.html this one should work though, only costs 15 euro's more, has 2 12v rails wich give 32.7 A each, looked up some reviews and it gives about 65 combined wich should be more than enough for this rig.

thats what I thought a minute ago >.<

now it seems the psu only 1x 8 pin (also 6 pin) connector, would the single 8 pin be enough for the gpu? or do they both need to be connected?
