Bought all my stuff yesterday and MicroCenter only had one r9 290x in stock. So I bought one. I will probably wait for them to get it in stock again, but when I do get them, how easy will it to be to Crossfire?

Is crossfire necessary if I'll only use one monitor? If I use it for video editing & possibly gaming (not likely), does this make a difference?

If you're primarily video editing wouldn't getting a multi threaded CPU like an i7 or the octa core AMD's be better? Why do you think crossfire is needed?

My advice is try with single r9 290x first since you have it already. If its not enough, thats the time you consider xfiring.

Well first you have to check your mobo if its crossfire capable.
Is crossfire necessary if I'll only use one monitor? no its not, it depends on the application/game. So try one r9 290x first
