I'm looking for a (preferably) 7200RPM drive that can hold 6-8TB of storage that's 3.5 inch for $100 - $180. I want products that aren't on sale as I won't be buying it soon.

Solution
Putting games on it is different than storage. Get the fastest you can afford when ready to buy. As noted above, that can change depending on when buying happens. The answer now might not be the answer then.

Edit: Let me point out what I mean. I'm looking for a 1TB SSD for my system. I want to move my OS to my 840pro, and move my steam folder off my 840pro and onto a good 1TB drive. Usually that means I need to get the MX500. The 1TB MX500 is usually sub $200 and the cheapest quality drive up there. One of the last times I looked online I saw the MX500 was $180, while the Samsung 860EVO 1TB was $170. Sales and when you look can change the answer. (I just looked, both drives are currently $170 on Amazon.)

It's storage. It doesn't need speed. 5400/5900RPM is fine for storage. The overall speed difference between 5400 and 7200 doesn't lead to that much difference. And as I pointed out in a thread a few weeks back, current 5400/5900 drives are faster than older 7200 drives. Just buy an 8TB drive and store stuff on it. Don't worry about the spindle speed or amount of cache.

Then any specific drive and price is meaningless today.
What costs $220 today may be $170 when you are ready to buy.

I am planning to install games on it.
