Good $100 500gb hdd?

Im looking to get a 500gb hdd and i like to know whats a good at $100?

Well i bought the rest of my 8 2tb hard drives from bestbuy with a raincheck yesterday and i got em for $74.99 per hard drive. Normal price on tigerdirect and newegg is $160. For you I would recommend at least a terabyte harddrive considering you can get one for about $100 now because of the flood. The price difference from a 500 gig to a 1tb isnt that great atm because of the price hike.

This is much much much better for the price and you get 64mb of cache instead of 16mb. The more cache the better it performs when accessing data. 16mb would lag quite a bit if you used it as a boot drive.

1. 64 would be better than 16, for boot
2. get a small (64gig) SSD as boot drive
I would just wait a couple of months until they start mass production again and prices fall on HDD storage
