Good 1000$ gaming build

Im going to build my computer this December and im considering the parts listed below. It will be used for Gaming mainly from games like minecraft to COD and BF. Ill also be doing recording often. Video editing, and occasional animation and modelling with MAYA. Does this look like a good build? any recommendations? (i will be overclocking cpu)

Just getting down to the MB and CPU, they woun't work together. Your MB is a LGA 1150 socket board and your CPU is a LGA 1155 socket CPU.

Have not looked at anything else yet.

I would purchase a 23 or 24 inch wide screen monitor. Just a personal choice on my part.

LGA 1155 will work in a LGA 1150 socket last time i checked can anybody verify this?

LGA 1155 has 1,155 pins and the newer LGA 1150 sockets have only 1,150 pins. Five less. They are not compatible. But do some research if you don't believe me.

Simple: You need to switch to a Z77 MB or switch your CPU to a Z87 chipset (LGA 1150.)

Yup, that's the ticket! With that MB, CPU and the other components, you'll have a decent gaming system.

No idea, im getting the parts in december (my price range isn't limited to 1000 its around, i just cant go higher then 1200-1300

7950 should have higher performance than the 760

7970 should have performance higher than 770

770 has better drivers, lower power consumption, and is more stable.(770 is just a rebranded 680/670) 770 will make your build a bit over if that is fine with you.

since it seems you will be buying around december, come back within 1-2 weeks of purchase date so we can give you better deals

found this one earlier and 760 is just about 8% better than the 7950 and is priced higher.

I really do not want to recommend a 760 though, try to fit in a 770 into the build but if you can't it is all preference so go for the 760.

Id love to get a 770 but they run at about 400 and i cant spend that much on a GPU 🙁
