Hello all.

I'm infusing my old computer with a breath of fresh air since my old i7 is about to kick the bucket. Skylake is very expensive and much beyond my budget at the moment, so I've decided to grab an i5 4690k with a new motherboard.

I was wondering if anyone knew of a decent motherboard, with wifi, that is under 130$. Thanks in advance. If there's no wifi available on most sub 130 boards, general suggestions are welcome too. I did some investigations, but a lot of low budget boards i've come across have had some weird problems...

Note: The i5 is going to be paired with a GTX 970 and 650w psu.

Hrmm... All I can find are mini ITX boards. It would work but if you're trying to build a gaming rig it might not be optimal. If you don't mind the limited features this looks like a good way to go though. I've had good luck with ASRock boards in the past

You might find it WAY easier to get a conventional motherboard and an internal wifi card.

The card would run you 30 but then you have a hundred bucks left over to get a pretty decent board.

Hope that helps!

Hello dualcoreduron. :-]

Thanks for the assist. I'm going to forego the wifi, seeming as i found out that even a dongle would provide better wifi.

New question though.

Will this motherboard work with a Coolermaster HAF 912?

Reason I ask, is because apparently some people had some weird occurrences where they couldn't use all the standoffs... This worries me. This looks like a great board for my budget, but I almost not want to buy it for fear of it bugging out because of my case size. It says its ATX, and my tower has an ATX board inside of it already. (an asrock p67 extreme 4.) It should work, but still, yknow, worried.

If anyone else has a different board suggestion, that would be groovy.

If your board already fits I think you'll be OK. The standoff placement is universal so I can't imagine having any problem, though I don't have any real world knowledge of that particular board and case. The case is advertised as ATX so you shouldn't have an issue.
